MDLive review
MDLIVE’s GLP-1 access depends on the right primary-care appointment and state eligibility. Price the visit benefit and pharmacy drug separately before booking.
A comparable monthly medication price is not available. See the plan details below for published fees, medication costs and payment terms.
The bottom line
Urgent-care fees do not purchase this weight-management service. The posted rule limits anti-obesity prescribing to Primary Care Routine Care. Check benefit eligibility and appointment type before comparing virtual-care fees.

What the figure does not cover
Fees, terms and cancellation at MDLive
- Outside the headline
- Testing, copays, deductibles and uncovered medication can add costs. Confirm whether covered visits include the selected medication’s administrative requirements.
- Prepay
- The service information does not establish a compulsory prepaid medication term. General virtual-care offerings do not establish a particular refill allowance.
- Cancellation
- MDLIVE says appointment-cancellation fees may apply and are shown before booking. Confirm the specific visit’s deadline. Pharmacy cancellation and return rules apply separately.
- Shipping
- Pharmacy dispensing is distinct from the telehealth appointment. The pages promise no universal included anti-obesity prescription delivery service.
Pricing transparency
How MDLive publishes its prices
The pages establish no recurring visit-and-medication package price. Employer or insurer benefits affect consultation charges. Separate pharmacy benefits govern medication costs. Budget for later visits and laboratory work too.

The seller
What MDLive is
MDLIVE offers several forms of virtual care. Anti-obesity prescriptions require eligible primary-care visits. MDLIVE does not sell a universal monthly GLP-1 package.
How it works
Independent clinicians assess whether medication is appropriate. Listed products remain clinical options, not appointment entitlements. Prescribing may require medical history, testing or further follow-up.
Branded or compounded
The medication policy gives Zepbound, Wegovy and Saxenda as examples. It excludes anti-obesity prescribing through MDLIVE in Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and New Jersey. National platform access does not establish access to these particular prescriptions.
Where the money holds, and where it moves
Predictable
- Prescribing route is explicitly defined
- Benefit-based care may suit existing members
- Cancellation policy is disclosed at booking
Moves, or is not stated
- General virtual-care prices can be misleading for this purpose
- Medication and visit costs are separate
- State exclusions can rule out access
Who this is worth it for
A buyer with eligible primary-care benefits and a specific pharmacy quote.
Who should price elsewhere
Someone expecting urgent-care fees to purchase weight-loss medication subscriptions.

What MDLive prescribes, and the evidence for it
These studies examine the medicines, not this provider. Results with approved products do not establish the quality or effectiveness of a seller’s compounded formulation.
- Oral Semaglutide 50 mg and the Injection: A 30-Study Systematic Review
A 2026 review of 30 studies put the 50 mg tablet at −15.1% in OASIS 1 and the 2.4 mg injection at −14.9% in STEP 1, two separate trials. Bioavailability is about 1% for the tablet, against 89% injected.
- Is Tirzepatide Worth the Extra Cost Over Semaglutide?
The premium buys measured extra weight loss: 20.2 percent against 13.7 percent in a head-to-head trial. On heart attacks and strokes it buys nothing measurable.
- Is Liraglutide as Good as Semaglutide for Weight Loss? 6.4% Against 15.8%
In the only head-to-head trial, daily liraglutide took off 6.4% of body weight and weekly semaglutide 15.8%. Side effects matched, stopping did not, and the cheaper drug cost more per result.
